Crafted for the President of Ireland...

In 2025, Magill Woodcraft Ireland was honoured to create a bespoke wooden map of Ireland for President Michael D. Higgins — a celebration of Irish artistry, heritage, and tradition.

This follows a previous commission for U.S. President Joe Biden, further recognising the excellence of Irish craftsmanship at the highest level.

Each piece, designed and handmade by Cian Magill, reflects a deep respect for Ireland’s culture, landscape, and enduring spirit.

For me, these commissions are a reminder of why I do what I do — to share a heartfelt piece of Ireland with the world. It means so much to know that my work, rooted in a love for beautiful craftsmanship, can bring connection and joy into people’s lives.
